For our second project, we teamed up with the Radisson Blu in Frankfurt to bring music to life. This time, instead of producing a film, we wanted to create a real, intimate, and interactive experience for hotel guests during Prolight+Sound 2023.
We visited the Radisson Blu to identify the key touchpoints of a typical guest journey: the lobby as the first impression, the rooms for a sense of comfort, the breakfast buffet, and the spa area as a place to unwind after a busy day.
Our idea was to add an emotional layer to these spaces through music, similar to a film soundtrack. We composed custom tracks that guests could play and explore without any musical knowledge using our Music App. Photos of each area served as the interface, and objects within the images (such as the pool, lamps, and plants) were linked to sounds we recorded in advance. By combining water droplets, natural textures, and meditative tones, guests were immersed in a calm and inspiring soundscape.
In the breakfast area, we also set up an interactive installation that let guests create sounds using fruits and vegetables. During breakfast, our DJane provided the ambience with melodic electronic sets, which guests responded to with a lot of enthusiasm. The activation was very well received and generated positive feedback on social media.
